Have Fun This October with Halloween Flowers and Gifts

It’s the spookiest time of the year, October, and Halloween’s lurking just around the corner. Lots of people are busy making preparations for Halloween, choosing costumes, stocking up on candy, and decorating the front yard for trick-or-treaters. Others have already begun celebrating Halloween with haunted houses, scary movie marathons, and pumpkin carving. At Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist, we’ve been hard at it, designing fresh new festive floral designs to help spread the Halloween spirit around Rowland Heights, Whittier, and Glendora!

Our Favorite Flowers for Halloween

To create festive, spooky Halloween flower arrangements, we love to mix the holiday’s cooky colors — orange, purple, and green with plenty of black accents — for instantly spirited fun!

Purple Liatris and Statice

Two of our favorite purple blooms for creating witchy floral combinations are Liatris and statice. Liatris features tall cones of wispy purple flowers, and statice offers more horizontal or curling clusters of purple blooms. Both offer a unique, fuzzy texture to otherwise basic floral arrangements featuring broader, silken petals. As seen in our popular Trick or Treat! bouquet, featuring purple Liatris, the bloom pairs well with orange blooms and plenty of contrasting, glittery black decorations for a dark and stormy Halloween theme.

Tiger Lily

Orange as a tiger’s stripes, tiger lilies are the perfect shade of pumpkin orange for Halloween. We love to pair their bright, star-shaped blooms with variegated orange or sunset roses, fall chrysanthemums, and purple statice, as seen in our Halloween favorite, the Pumpkin Boogie arrangement. This arrangement features sparkling Halloween embellishments and comes in a ceramic keepsake container. This jack-o-lantern will be enjoyed for many Halloweens to come, as it makes a wonderful candy jar!

Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemums symbolize cheerfulness, and these abundant, frothy blooms are autumn and Halloween classics. They bloom in just about every color and have many variations, such as button and spider varieties, offering endless possibilities for floral design. For Halloween, we love using green chrysanthemums and blooms in autumn colors. We also recommend potted chrysanthemums, as they’re in-season during the autumn and will continue to bloom long after everyone’s candy-induced stomach aches have gone.

Spread the Spirit of the Season with Spooky Flowers and Fun Gifts

This October, you can make sure all your friends, family, and house guests get to enjoy a bit of Halloween spirit. Decorate your front door with potted mums and a floral wreath to greet trick-or-treaters with a welcoming facade. Adorn the inside of your home with fall floral accents and an elegant centerpiece for your dining table. Help your friends and family celebrate October birthdays and anniversaries with festive bouquets and send gift baskets filled with candy to your favorite trick-or-treaters.

Whether you have an October occasion or just love celebrating the things that go bump in the night, you can share the spirit of the season with Halloween flowers and gifts.
