Valentine’s Day Flowers for Everyone you Love

Valentine's DayValentine’s Day is rapidly approaching, and much of the attention will be focused on romantics and sweethearts. However, statistics teach us that millions of people purchase Valentine’s gifts for many other special people in their lives as well. If you are looking for new and creative ways to celebrate all the love this Valentine’s Day, Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist has put together some interesting facts about how we as a country celebrate February 14th, and how you can, in turn, can successfully and beautifully celebrate all of the loves of your life.

Family Ties are Strong:  If you look past the people purchasing only for romance, the next largest group  – 60% of the population – will be searching for the perfect gift for their family members. Valentine’s Day flowers are an ideal choice for your daughter, mother, grandmother or sister, as everyone loves receiving flowers. Valentine’s bouquets usually include the classic red rose in some fashion, but often include other blooms such as lilies, roses, and carnations.

A Rose is Still A Rose: Over 224 million roses are grown for the express purpose of becoming Valentine’s Day bouquets. Among that impressive number, two-thirds of the demand is represented by the red rose. Still, 35% of rose requests include other colors such as pink, lavender, peach, white and yellow.

Our Friends Rate Pretty High: 20% of us will purchase flowers or gifts for our friends, neighbors, and coworkers. While many cite strong relationships, many people also state that they are trying to be nice to someone that they know will be alone on the holiday. We can appreciate such a sweet thought.

We Tend To Procrastinate: The industry experts share that the heaviest “order day” for Valentine’s Day is February 11th. Take some advice from us – after all, we do this for a living. As the holiday falls on a Tuesday this year, call at least a week in advance to place your order. We also highly recommend sending the flowers a few days early – your loved ones will love having their floral designs to enjoy on the big day! Valentine's Day

After years of helping our Glendora, Whittier, and Rowland Heights friends celebrate all the love in their lives, we know that there is a very special person behind every order. That’s why we put so much love of our own into each bouquet and arrangement. You can trust Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist to design and deliver the most stunning Valentine’s Day flowers they have ever seen.
