This day that is devoted to celebrating the love women friends have for each other made its first appearance in an episode of Parks and Recreation in 2010, and has captured the imaginations of besties ever since.

There’s no one way to celebrate your girlfriends this February, but you should definitely include a gift exchange. Since your besties will be steeped in roses the next day, choose something just as elegant and fashionable: tulips. Specifically, tulips that are the “It” color this year, purple.
