Random Acts of Kindness Day is an annual celebration of goodwill that began in New Zealand and is now recognized worldwide. In the United States, we observe this day on February 17th, – and those who have embraced the concept know that there are countless ways to participate in the spirit of the day. The team at Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist are eager to partner with you however you plan to share the kindness throughout our entire community. Glendora, Whittier, or Rowland Heights, let’s cover our hometowns in generosity!
“True kindness expects nothing in return and should never act with conditions.” – Roy T. BennettNo matter what you love to do, or how you spend your time – you can find a way to make someone else smile! Here are just a few ideas of how you can plan to spread kindness.
* Carry a bouquet of loose flowers with you and give a single bloom to random people you cross paths with.
* Consider volunteering at an animal shelter. You’ll give the staff support and the pets will love the attention.
* If you enjoy cooking, make a meal for a family with a newborn, or someone recovering from surgery.
* Bring homemade baked goods to work and leave them in the break room for everyone to share.
* Bring a small bouquet of flowers to someone who will never expect it – the clerk at the grocery checkout, or the
woman who cleans your offices, for instance.
* Send a few pizzas to the nurse’s station at a hospital – or the local fire department.
* Create encouraging handwritten post-it notes to place around your workplace or at specific desks.
* Purchase a few $5 gift cards for a restaurant, and hand to people walking in. Don’t forget to smile!
As you spread kindness and goodwill throughout our community, you’ll be joined by thousands of others. The people you impact are often inspired to pay it forward, and you could be the start of something amazing! Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist has the beautiful flowers you’ll need – and we’ve got a few ideas as well. Come see us!
