Floral Arrangements for Teachers and Nurses

We live busy lives, and they seem to get busier every day. As we rush through weeks and months, from errand to errand, sometimes we fail to really notice the incredible people all around us.  Thankfully, May gives us two opportunities to celebrate the sometimes humble and quiet – yet heroic – efforts of two special professionals in our midst.  Although they aren’t thanked or recognized as much as they deserve, this month sets aside a full week to give them praise. Here at Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist, we love our community – and we appreciate our teachers and nurses! It would be our privilege to partner with you to honor them this May, with special gifts and floral arrangements guaranteed to express your gratitude in beautiful style.

Mark Your Calendar: National Nurses Week is May 6 – 13, 2017; National Nurses Day is May 6.
National Teachers Week is May 7 – 13, 2017; National Teachers Day is May 9.

Teachers are often counted as some of the most inspiring people in our lives. In fact, if you ask a group of people to name someone who influenced them growing up, a teacher usually comes to mind. Teachers do more than present a curriculum and hand out papers – the best educators are mentors, visionaries, and benefactors. They identify potential and work tirelessly to develop it. They invest their own time, skills, and compassion  – and for that, we think they deserve plenty of recognition. Vibrant spring flowers and colorful designs are the perfect way to deliver happiness and appreciation to an awesome teacher!

Imagine These Classrooms! J.K. Rowling, author of Harry Potter, taught English while she was writing her books. Singer, musician, composer and lyricist Sting taught music, English, and soccer; and comedian Billy Crystal was a substitute teacher to pay the bills.  These are just a few of the famous celebrities who stood in front of a class before they broke into media and show business. And while we are sure they had some interesting classes, we are appreciative of the millions of educators – numbering over 3 million in the United States – who have dedicated their lives to teaching.

From the sheer excitement of welcoming a new baby to the challenge of a loved one’s illness – nurses are by our sides through life’s most intense and emotional events. A remarkable blend of compassion and professional skill, nurses are a phenomenon unto themselves. Although our time with any given nurse is relatively short, they very often manage to create a lifelong imprint on our hearts. On National Nurses Day, let them know that their dedication – and their kindness – was greatly appreciated.

Recognition for a job well done is always in season – and both National Teachers Day and National Nurses Day give us the perfect excuse to send those accolades in beautiful fashion. Call Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist today – we’ll help you to choose special gifts for the special people making a difference every day, right here in Whittier, Glendora and Rowland Heights.
