The word “corsage” refers to a corset or bodice – and although they traditionally were pinned to a dress,  the most popular variety of corsage these days is the wristlet. Wrist corsages can feature one bloom or several, and virtually any flower can be designed into the corsage. Some of the most popular wearable flowers are orchids, roses, and lilies; while jewelry, ribbons, feathers and greenery are used to create colorful, memorable, and decorative corsages.

Classic boutonnieres consist of a single rose with some baby’s breath or greenery, but calla lilies and orchids are also trending alternatives. For a truly unique boutonniere, ask our team about using succulents or greens.

Perfect Together: Come in and visit one of Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist’s locations in Glendora, Whittier, or Rowland Heights to speak about designing a boutonniere and corsage matching set for the big night.
corsageA common misconception is that the flowers should match the dress perfectly. However, complimentary hues and interesting textures can have beautiful results.  After decades of designing flowers for proms and other formal events, we have the expertise and artistic ideas that will make a dramatic impact.

Don’t Forget! Mother’s Day is only a few weeks away! Your Mom will feel extra-special when she is wearing a corsage of exquisite roses or orchids that you gave her.  When prom season arrives, give Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist a call. You’ll be glad you did!
