Women’s Day Celebrations and Events

women's day

Women have always used their lives to influence entire communities, societies, and cultures. They have earned their place in history, and there are long lists of women who are respected pioneers, innovators, visionaries and change agents. On March 8th, International Women’s Day will be observed all around the globe. Hundreds of events will serve as a tribute to the achievement and victories, as well as to highlight those issues that still need attention and resolution. Locally, Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist is proud to partner with you to honor the women who are everyday heroes right here in Glendora, Whittier, and Rowland Heights.

Organizers of the 2017 International Women’s Day report that there are official events in 21 countries, as well as activities in 33 U.S. cities. From gala dinners to fun runs; from technical symposiums to career fairs; from concerts to global online forums – there is a way for everyone to get involved. The theme of this event is Be Bold For Change, and participants in any capacity are urged to post and tweet with the hashtag #BeBoldForChange to let the world know what they are doing to support the cause.

Flowers are always a heartfelt way to show someone that you are proud of them and appreciate all that they do for others. Specific flowers also have inherent meanings that honor the unique qualities of the special women in your life.

Daffodils represent respect and esteem; while palms and laurel flowers speak to victory in life. Protea and gladioli signify strength of character and courage – and make strikingly impressive bouquets. This International Women’s Day, send a woman you hold in high regard an exquisite and meaningful floral arrangement for her home or office.

At Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist, we are honored to support all the amazing women that make a difference in our community – and the world at large. Show her that you recognize her efforts to enrich the lives of women everywhere. Select a floral arrangement just for her and have it sent on March 8th.
