Pretty Posh Flowers for 2018

Who doesn’t love a gorgeous cascade of blooms in pastel colors? An arrangement that looks like a painting, or as if it’s come straight from the pages of Vogue?

Clearly, International Floral Distributors thinks that everyone does, having identified “Positively Posh” as one of four floral design trends in its annual trend report. And we here at Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist are inclined to agree. This floral style is one for the books, people.

A key characteristic of this approach is the use of pastel colors (think pinks, grays and buttery yellows), a continuation of the trend to more muted hues. The look is layered, with each delicate bloom unfolding one after the next to create a ruffled pattern. The emphasis is on texture, and while this style loves its abundance, these arrangements never get out of hand. There’s a modern restraint brought to the lush designs. We think this concept is reflected in ourĀ Meant To Be bouquet.

The rounded shape feels modern, but the lavish gathering of blooms is traditionally romantic. This style has a youthful, romantic spirit; it’s not heavy-handed or too studied. It makes for a gorgeous gift, but we can also see this working for events or in the home as decor. We’re happy to help you work it into your design scheme.
