Send the Luck of the Irish with Flowers

irishThree are many images that may come to mind when you think of St. Patrick’s Day. Do you hope for the luck of the Irish, or go for the wearing of the green? Perhaps your favorite celebration is the big parade showcasing festive floats, or maybe you prefer sitting down with a green beer and a plate of corned beef and cabbage. It may be the music of the bagpipes or the pride in your heritage – but however you celebrate this popular holiday, you will likely be surrounded by shades of green.

Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist have all the green flowers and plants you’ll need to “go green” in Glendora, Whittier, and Rowland Heights. Let’s celebrate! irish

Not Irish? With over 36 million people of Irish descent in the United States, there are a lot of folks celebrating their heritage. Still, many more folks become “Irish for the day” and join in the fun, and why not? St. Patrick himself was not Irish, but as a missionary to the Emerald Isle, he fell in love with the culture. What’s not to love?

Don’t Get Pinched: Everyone is expected to wear at least a little bit of green on March 17th, Irish or not. This tradition is so prolific in our culture that it is commonly acceptable to give a playful pinch to anyone who doesn’t participate in the dress code.

irishIreland is considered a pretty lucky place; we even have a phrase to reflect it! The “luck of the Irish” tradition is sustained through legends of four-leaf clovers, leprechauns, and pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.  And although 4-leaf clovers actually do exist, it is the much more common three-leaf variety of shamrock that is connected with the holiday.

Whether you want to send some floral cheer to your Gaelic friends or to decorate for your own personal gathering, you can trust our design experts to create the perfect green bouquets to reflect the spirit of the day! From green Fuji mums to green trick dianthus, from Bells of Ireland to cymbidium orchids – we will create an amazing St. Patrick’s Day arrangement that will be worthy of all the festivity.
