This month, we celebrate the birth of our nation and the liberty we have enjoyed ever since with our country’s Independence Day. Celebrated on July 4th, not only do we gather together for fireworks and picnics with friends and family, we also use this opportunity to express our gratitude to all the men and women who so valiantly serve our nation daily in our military. This year, Ron & Alicia Robinson Florist encourage you to send or bring a beautiful bouquet of flowers to a veteran or active-duty service person you know. For over 240 years, July 4th has been a day set apart to celebrate the unique freedoms that we have come to appreciate in the United States. But its beginnings were a little fuzzy – from John Adams publicly declaring that July 2nd was Independence Day, to the majority of the founding fathers not signing the Declaration of Independence until August 2nd. Still, the date written on the original document prevailed, and a nation was born.
